1. Our school has won Think.com "Winners Award" for Best Performing School amongst private and other government schools at the National level.

2. Our School's Think.com teacher administrator Preeti Sharma was selected for the Project based learning offered at 21st century learning institute Singapore. Her classes were held at Nanyang Executive Center(NTC), Singapore.

Question: How does a satellite in a Sun-synchronous orbit stays synchronized with the location of the Sun relative to Earth?
ANSWER-A sun-synchronous orbit (also called a heliosynchronous orbit) such as Resourcesat combines altitude and inclination in such a way that the satellite passes over any given point of the Earth's surface at the same local solar time. Resourcesat for instance, crosses the equator fourteen times a day, always at 9.30local time. This is achieved by having the orbital plane of the satellite's orbit precess (rotate) approximately one degree eastward each day, to keep pace with the Earth's revolution around the sun. With a sun-synchronous orbit, observation of the ground is improved as scene illumination remains constant May. 01, 2008

Question. A lunar eclipse always occur on a full moon day but why it does not occur on every full moon day?
ANSWER When the orbiting moon travels through the earth shadow, eclipse occurs. You can't see it because the sunlight does not fall on it. However, due to orbital inclination of moon it does not always pass through the umbra region of shadow. Question.When a full moon occurs if there were people on the moon would they see a 'full' Earth?
ANSWER On the full moon day the night side of the earth is seen by moon. That means the earth is black to the moon. A black object cannot be seen with black background. It needs a white background. Hence if the earth is inside the sun's illumination, it can be seen as a black disc.

Question I can see lot of questions focussed on gravity in space .Can you tell me about the kind of atmosphere in space?
ANSWER-Outer space, often simply called space, refers to the relatively empty regions of the universe outside the atmospheres of celestial bodies. Outer space is used to distinguish it from airspace (and terrestrial locations). Contrary to popular understanding, outer space is not completely empty (i.e. a perfect vacuum) but contains a low density of particles, predominantly hydrogen plasma, as well as electromagnetic radiation. Hypothetically, it also contains dark matter and dark energy
